Diabetes 101
Type 1
A chronic autoimmune condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin.
Type 2
A condition in which the body stops responding to insulin produced in the pancreas, causing high-blood sugar levels. Generally liked to combination of genetic and lifestyle factors.
Type 3
A theory that Alzheimer's disease is caused by insulin resistance.
Insulin Inflammation
A condition in which the body does not respond to insulin and is unable to convert the glucose into energy.
