Calories

Calories are defined as a unit of energy that provide sustenance for the human body to operate. The human brain, muscles, cells, and further anatomy in its entirety require these units of energy to function in an optimal state. If our bodies do not receive enough nutrients provided by calories, many negative consequences follow. These include losing muscle mass, inability to concentrate, or lack of energy.
